There are already five deaths from COVID-19 in Peru, as confirmed by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) through a new statement.
“This is an 83-year-old man with a history of family contact from Europe. He was admitted on March 15 in the intensive care unit of the Cayetano Heredia Regional Hospital – EsSalud de Piura, for presenting respiratory failure and atypical pneumonia,” he indicated. the Ministry of Health.
In addition, the state entity reported that “its evolution was unfavorable, resulting in its death at 07:20 today.”
It is important to mention that the fourth deceased was a 75-year-old woman with a history of traveling to Spain, who presented respiratory failure and pneumonia. She was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Edgardo Rebagliati Hospital, according to the Minsa.
